The Department of Private Law is responsible for teaching and research in the area of private law.

The bases for the Department’s work are the fundamental disciplines of Property law, Family law and Succession law, and the aims are to maintain subjects these at a high standard, and on this basis to analyse new areas of law that arise in connection with rapid developments in society, including describing the legal consequences of the increasing level of internationalisation.
